PROTEIN OATMEAL

One of my favorite breakfast meals is protein oatmeal! Over the last year or so, I’ve grown to love oatmeal and have upgraded my recipe to include protein and other fun toppings, rather than eating plain old oats. I honestly eat this at least 3-4 times a week because it’s delicious and filled with fiber and nutrients that keeps me satisfy until my next meal. The best part is that there are so many recipes involving oatmeal. You can get really creative with the flavors and aesthetic appeal of the finished meal. I love to change up my ingredients depending on my morning cravings. For example, sometimes I crave chocolate so I’ll add cacao powder for that chocolate taste and include bananas and peanut butter. Other times, I like something more sweet, so I’ll add different fruits like I did for today’s protein oatmeal recipe.

I am featuring kiwi, strawberries and almonds as my toppings because that’s what I had in my fridge, but feel free to add whatever you like. The key to this recipe is to add protein because it will give your meal more volume and keep you full longer. I am using Vanilla Ice Cream from Optimum Whey, so there’s a vanilla taste to it, which I love because not only does it smell good, but it gives my oatmeal the extra flavor I love! If you enjoy oatmeal as much as I do, let me know what toppings you normally include!

This looks so good! I’ve been eating oatmeal every morning too and adding strawberries to it. The kiwi looks great too but I’m allergic to nuts so maybe next time I will try adding kiwi! 🙂 Yummy xo, sharon

Yes definitely! I’m allergic to all nuts except for peanuts and almonds so substitute those for fruits 😉

Love how healthy this is. I generally only like oatmeal dry or on top of things. So I’d probably go about it that way for myself. 🙂 All the ingredients are perfect for me.

Thanks for sharing!

Miki
