If you couldn’t guess from my photos, I have been obsessed with backpacks recently. I love that they go well with the athleisure trend because wearing them makes me feel very comfortable and at ease compared to carrying a handbag or tote. I also obviously think it’s better for my body because I am not straining my wrists or shoulders since I normally have a million things in my handbag.
I already own a black backpack, which was showcased several times through my blog and Instagram. It has been my go to item since I went to Hong Kong in May. I haven’t added any new backpacks to my collection, but recently stumbled across this beautiful one from Catherine Malandrino and I love the color. It is vibrant and bright, which makes my boring winter clothes stand out. It is also the perfect size because it actually fits a lot of items since it expands. It’s funny, I’ve thought about getting a backpack lately as I have like the whole world in my bag (feeling like Mary Poppins, haha) and it weighs a ton and is NOT good for my body nor my posture. So I think I’ll join you on that obsessions! 🙂

I’m so sad that I don’t own any backpacks because they’re certainly making a chic comeback. As I kid I only stuck to Northface bookbags so I never really had one. Love the color of this one! I’m definitely going to go on the hunt for a backpack for this year 🙂

There are many stylish backpacks now and I think a lot of fashion companies are expanding their bag collections to include backpacks!
I love the way bloggers look when styled with a backpack. But I always have a fear someone is going to open up my backpack flap when I’m not looking and take something haha. But they are so chic. I would love a blush one!

I agree that there may be some security flaws with backpacks but I also think there are some that are harder to open than others.

Great backpack and outfit Mariann. I actually bought a jewel tone blue one months ago and still haven’t worn it. SMH. While I love the look of it, I always worry about carrying one when I travel and I often wear heels so prefer wearing my handbags with then. I’ll have to wear it soon. It’s actually a great color and is a nice pop of color. Haha.
