NOVEMBER 2020 GOALS

We are now in the second to last month of 2020 and what a crazy year it’s been! I know that a lot of us have been feeling like this year was a waste but being the positive person that I am, I always try to take something valuable from every situation. I also can agree with those who want the year to be over already, but I think there’s still a lot that can be accomplished within the next two months and there’s still the holidays to look forward to!

If you’re like me and have a smaller family, then you might not be excited for the holidays and I want to be honest that this time can be a bit depressing for me. However, knowing that we are gearing up towards Thanksgiving and Christmas, I am making efforts to prepare myself mentally and emotionally with some priorities and goals I have come up with for November. Before I share those, I want to revisit what I wanted to achieve in October.

One of my main goals last month was to do a fall activity, specifically pumpkin picking. Although, I didn’t actually go to a pumpkin patch, I did go to the Catskills and witnessing the fall foliage offered so much more than just going pumpkin picking. The colors were absolutely stunning and I felt liberated being close to nature and the crisp air. It has always been on my list and now that I have experienced it, I must say I want to incorporate it as a fall routine moving forward. My second goal was to capture NYC content and I have successfully done that when I visited the Empire State Building. You can actually see my photos and read about my experience in my previous post here. And my last goal was to be featured on someone else’s platform and I don’t think I 100% completed that in the way I planned. On the other hand, I did have my guests share my podcast on their social platforms over the last month and did have The Edge and The Empire State Building share my photos on their Instagram feed/ stories so I am satisfied with those results.

For November, I have four main goals which are:

  • Go full force with my new Business: I can’t reveal what the business is just yet because I am still finalizing the logistics and contracts, but just know that I am working on something exciting! I have been looking for an opportunity for the past five years and I truly believe that everything happens for a reason so I am going to take this as a sign from the universe. I think once everything is confirmed, I will write a separate blog post on all the details about the business and everything related to entrepreneurship so stay tuned for that 🙂
  • Complete my Holiday Shopping: What I love most about the holidays is gift giving! I can’t wait to start my holiday shopping for my friends and family because I find the process fun and exciting. I always want to complete this by mid November so I don’t have to worry about shipping delays, out of stock items, etc.
  • Be more organized: I’d like to think that I’m a fairly organized person but ever since I started to watch The Home Edit on Netflix, I’ve realized that there are still areas of improvement. For me specifically, it’s less about being organized with work and more with the home. I have noticed that there are times where I can leave a mess especially in my room, but it only takes 5 minutes to tidy up. I am working on being more organized in the home so I can develop this healthy habit by the end of November.
  • Celebrate Thanksgiving my way: As I mentioned before, I have a small family and we don’t do a huge Thanksgiving celebration. This year, given everything that’s happening I want to celebrate Thanksgiving in my own way whether that’s just doing a small dinner with my family and roommate or hosting a very intimate gathering with my friends, or going away for the holiday, I want to make sure that I do something that brings me joy and peace.

How do you guys feel knowing that we now in November? I would love to hear a priority goal you want to achieve for this month 🙂
