Our one king bedroom suite was seriously spacious and it’s the room I would recommend for families, especially if you have little kids. Instead of feeling stacked on top of each other like in a typical hotel room, we had space to spread out, unwind, and actually relax. The bed was comfortable and the sitting area was perfect for evening downtime. A Cozy Lobby You’ll Want to Linger In

From the moment we walked in, the lobby set the tone. It’s cozy and warm, and I absolutely loved the decor. Big windows fill the space with natural light, and the fireplace is the perfect spot to slow down and settle into vacation mode. Even before we reached our suite, I was already relaxed.

One of my favorite parts of the stay was the paint and sip, held at the Minerals Hotel. The best part is that if you’re staying at Grand Cascades Lodge, you have access to the Minerals Hotel, so it’s easy to add to your weekend. It’s a wonderful way to trade the outdoor activities for something creative and relaxed, whether you’re planning a girls’ night or a quiet evening for two. The Minerals Hotel is also a great option if you’re traveling with kids because it has a rock climbing gym, an arcade and a unique swim up aquarium in the indoor pool.

Where We Ate: Grand Tavern and Gino34

Grand Tavern was our go-to for breakfast both mornings, and we came back on our first night for dinner too. The menu is full of American favorites, so it’s an easy pick when you’re feeding a family with different tastes. For our second night, we headed to Gino34 for a change of pace. The atmosphere is intimate and nice, which made dinner feel like a special night out, and the Italian food made it well worth the switch. Definitely order the tiramisu. Spoiler alert, it’s huge so feel free to share it with whoever you’re traveling with or take it to go!

Beautiful Views and Relaxing Vibes, Close to NYC

This Crystal Springs Resort review wouldn’t be complete without the views, which stayed with me long after checkout. The scenery is beautiful, the pace is slow, and the vibes are genuinely relaxing. Best of all, it’s close enough to New York that you can decide on a Thursday and be checked in by Friday. Since fall is also right around the corner, the leaves will start changing colors, which would make the views even more spectacular.

Why Grand Cascades Lodge Is So Family Friendly

Between the roomy suite, the pool, and the long list of activities, it’s easy to see why families love this place. I can already picture my kids racing to the marshmallow roasting, giving archery a try, and splashing around while I soak up the views. I definitely am adding this to my list of places to take them soon!
