Tips for Making Life Work

Life is an interesting, complicated, difficult and exciting journey that we are all experiencing! Sometimes, it seems as though it’s happening, but things aren’t going according to our plans. It’s common, it’s natural and it’s something that I’m sure all of us can relate to. However, I have come up with 10 tips on how to make life work. They are more like reminders and I think we can all incorporate them into our daily routine to enjoy life more.

Tips for Making Life Work

  1. Slow down and enjoy the journey: Instead of trying to rush the process (whatever that may be for you right now), try to enjoy it and make it fun! The world is not going to end if you take a few extra minutes to finish your task. Bask in the struggles, soak in the waiting times, practice patience and watch how taking your time can make life feel easier.
  2. Let go of being a perfectionist and stop comparing yourself to others: Remember that this is YOUR LIFE. Stay in your lane and remind yourself that someone’s else’s journey or path has nothing to do with yours. Just because someone seems to be further along doesn’t mean they are better, more successful, or winning in life. Go at your own pace and stay your course.
  3. Take advantage of your complaints: The next time you complain, ask yourself what you are complaining about and why? Once you narrow down the issue and cause, then do something about it. Complaining doesn’t solve anything, but actions will.
  4. Take pressure off of yourself: Nobody succeeds without help. Learn to delegate to others and know that it’s okay to ask for help. We are all in this beautiful game of life and the only way to get to where we want to go is with the help of others.
  5. Take a broader view of life: Expand your mind to view yourself from others and put yourself in others’ shoes before reacting/ judging. This simple action will offer a fresh perspective and allow you to understand where other people are coming from and can even check yourself because sometimes we can’t see our own flaws.
  6. Ask for what you want: If you don’t ask, you don’t get, it’s as simple as that.
  7. Always be yourself: You can’t make life work if you are showing up in a way that isn’t true to who you are. The beauty of all of us is how unique and different we are so be yourself and don’t let anyone dim your light or change you.
  8. Look at struggles as blessings: Have you ever looked back at your most challenging times and realized they were the most rewarding obstacles? Don’t dwell on the pain or failure because they tend to be followed by lessons in disguises.
  9. Be grateful for what you have in front of you: Focus on what you have, not on what you wish you had. Life isn’t always bad when you start to count your blessings. If you change your focus to what you’re thankful for, you’ll find yourself happier, and you worry a lot less.
  10. March to the beat of your own drum: Forget about what other people are doing and make your own rules for how you want to live your life. If things go wrong, just shrug your shoulders and move on. Remember that this is all part of life and life isn’t always easy but it’s also not always difficult. It’s what you make of it so why not make the best of it?

Slow down and enjoy the journey is one of the best advices. I think as people we tend to be in such a rush to do things or go places that we never stop to actually enjoy in the moment. I really found this post great, inspiring and helpful. I hope your having an amazing week 🙂 http://www.bauchlefashion.com/2020/11/fashion-forecast-bold-pink-hues-for-fall.html
