MARCH 2020 GOALS

Not sure how March is already upon us, but I am ready to conquer it with a positive mindset. I’ve always had this dreading feeling when it came to March because I feel like it’s the longest month of the year, but in order to have a successful month ahead, I know mindset is everything! Since we also welcome spring on the 19th, I am looking forward to warmer weather and we all know that the sun makes us all happier 🙂

February was a great month to say the least. My biggest highlight was my trip to Barcelona with my mom. My main goal for last month was to be present in Barcelona and enjoy my time there without worrying too much about posting on social media. I am happy that I enjoyed my week there and experienced Barcelona a second time around since it has been 8 years since I last visited. I also wanted to finish a book and thanks to my subscription to Book of the Month, I have been on track and completed Miranda Popkey’s Topics of Conversation. I will also be reading a book each month due to the monthly service. Lastly, I really wanted to do a mini day or weekend trip and I made it happen by organizing a road trip to the Ice Castles in Woodstock, New Hampshire. All in all, I am happy with my February month activities.

For the month of March, I have come up with the below 4 goals:

  • Wake up before 7 am on weekdays: I am not going to be strict with this goal and say I want to wake up 7 am for the 22 weekdays ahead. However, I want to wake up before 7 am for the majority of the weekdays. I am a morning person and my current wake up time is anywhere between 7-7:20 am. However, I woke up around 6:15 am when I came back from my Barcelona trip for a week and I realized an extra hour did wonders for my productivity!
  • Be more immersive in NYC events: I have come to realize that NYC is a beautiful place with tons of things to do! I love to plan activities for the weekends but I am aiming to do at least 2 immersive things during the week whether that’s attending a media event, going on a date, or watching a show/ movie. I want to be more cultured and take advantage of this amazing city!
  • Host a get together: I am the queen of hosting but it’s been a while since I’ve last had friends over since the holidays. I really want to do another game night at my place because I had a blast the last time and think it’ll be a great opportunity to catch up and have fun.
  • Do my taxes: This is more of an annoying must do errand/ task than an actual goal, but I am actually going to an accountant for the first time so I know this will play a role in my March month. I will touch upon my experience in April!

Overall, I plan on staying in NYC for this month and really using March to recharge and work on myself. I think there will be travel trips in my horizon for April and May! What are your main goals for this month?
