JUNE 2021 GOALS

How are we already in June?! This marks the half way point of 2021 and it always blows my mind how quickly time flies. Instead of looking at it as a dreadful thing, I am looking at it with excitement as I do think June is a month that a lot of us enjoy, considering that the weather is usually consistently beautiful. Summer officially arrives on June 21 and until then, I am going to make sure I make the most of everyday.

As I look back at my May month, I feel like I didn’t do much, but I also know that May was supposed to be a month for me to relax. There are a lot of moving parts in my life right now and instead of forcing certain things to happen and going against the waves, I decided to sit back and ride it out. I knew that it would be more beneficial for me to let things happen the way they’re meant to be instead of activating my control freak side. I still acknowledge there I’ve made progress and steps forward in certain areas of my life and that’s all that I can really be grateful for.

Last month, I wanted to do a mini getaway and that didn’t happen. I think I was enthusiastic about going away, but I actually unexpectedly had other priorities that took place, which made me had to sit tight. I also wanted to do some NYC activities and I didn’t fulfill that goal to its fullest since what I had in mind was more in the events realm but I still was able to get out more and will be prioritizing that for June. And last, but not least I wanted to read more and I did accomplish this since I finished Obama’s book (although I have to admit that I skimmed some parts).

As we welcome June tomorrow, I have set the below goals for myself:

  • Figure out my living situation: My lease is up at the end of the month, so this is less of a goal, but more like a necessity. I need to figure out what I want to do, where I want to be and have actionable steps to make sure that I find a place that is conducive for this growth phase of my life. It’s scary and stressful because this will be a disruption to my home life but I also believe change is beautiful and exciting if I embrace it (which I intend to!).
  • Make progress in side project: I have been approached by a unique opportunity and it would be foolish of me if I didn’t take it. With that being said, I want to use June to finalize all the details and start to make all my thoughts into reality. I think often times, we tend to have these great ideas and when we talk about them, we get excited, but we don’t do anything about them, so they end up being dreams. I am going to make my dreams a reality and by stating this, I am also holding myself accountable.
  • Enjoy NYCSince I didn’t do any NYC activities in May, I really want to make sure that I do at least one activity a week. I am all out of my travel content so this will be a good way to kill two birds with one stone. I really miss being out and about and with the weather looking brighter, I don’t think it’ll be hard to accomplish this.

Every time I write my goals, I get excited for the month to come and I encourage you all to do the same! Let me know what’s one goal that’s on top of your list for June 🙂
