As some of you may have know, I have been working on creating a free step to step guide to creating a blogger media kit. Ever since I started blogging, I have loved the journey and a lot of what I’ve learned was trial and error. I didn’t have any guide or tips when I started out and I wish I did. I figured what works for me throughout my journey and I am looking to share it all with you!
I ran a poll a month ago on my Instagram stories about whether you guys wanted a guide to creating a media kit or blogging tips. The media kit won by just a small margin, so I am definitely going to be creating another guide with blogging tips soon. In the meantime, if you don’t have a media kit, don’t worry because I will be giving you all the necessary tools and tips to creating one! If you already do have a media kit, that’s great but you should also be making sure you are constantly updating it, especially if you are growing or if you have any new press placements or brand partnerships to add.
I cannot stress the importance of having a media kit because it serves as a resume for your social media and blog whether you are doing this full time or not. I owe a lot of the work I’ve secured through my media kit and I am constantly editing it since it should change as you progress as a blogger. A media kit is definitely something so important to have and share with brands and it’s also a difficult thing to start. It seems easy by getting all the info and taking the time to create it takes work. I’m glad you created some useful tips to help those of us who want to start but haven’t quite gotten there yet.
