AUGUST 2021 GOALS

It sure is a bittersweet moment that August is here. I’ve always been a fan of August and this time of year because it’s a winding down of the summer and one month closer to fall, which is my favorite season! July was a stressful month for me, partly because I moved into a new apartment and partly because I have been dealing with some personal matters. With that being said, I still think it’s important to reassess how the last 31 days went for me.

As I revisit my July goals, it was clear that my move was my main priority. For those who have moved, you understand the the stress and chaos that comes with it. I knew that I was not going to be fully settled and as I am writing this, I still stand by that. It takes time to order furniture, to get everything organized and to add final touches to make your home feel like home. I wanted to be more active on social media and although that was one of my main goals, I actually found myself feeling and doing the opposite. I go through waves when it comes to social media and there are times when I am consistently showing up and there are times where I decide to take breaks for my mental health. With that being said, I did fully immerse myself in my fitness goals and I can say that the results speak for themselves and I am very content and happy with not only how I look, but how I feel.

As we gear up for another month, here are my August 2021 Goals:
  • Pick up on Instagram Lives: I was very consistent with doing Instagram Lives in April and May, but fell off the band wagon as I was preparing for my move. Now that I have found my rhythm again when it comes to work, I am scheduling more Lives that fall into my different pillars of content and series topics including mindset and personal development, mental health and wellness and dating and relationships.
  • Decorate/ add touches to apartment: My first phase for settling into my apartment is complete, but I now want to focus on the second level, which is to add decorating touches to my apartment. I’ve held back on that phase because I wanted to see how all the furniture looks when put together and now I can finally add some of my personality to it.
  • Weekend getaway: I haven’t been away since April and my travel itch is definitely kicking in. I did have an event at the Hamptons, which was fun in July but I do want to make an effort to embark on a mini weekend getaway trip. I think it would be a good way to wrap up August and enjoy the beautiful weather before September arrives.

I’m curious to know what your personal goals are and let me know what’s one thing you’re proud of that you achieved in July and what’s one thing you’re looking forward to in August?
